Instructor Programs Become High School Credit

Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development, Ramona Jennex, recently announced that the NSEF/EC English and Western NCCP Instructor Programs will be part of an exciting new list of high school personal development credits.   This designation will provide a unique experiential educational opportunity for our young equestrians who wish to use this elective credit to become certified as an instructor. "This is an exciting new venture for our high school members and we are thrilled to have been selected as one of three sports across the province to provide this opportunity", said Heather Myrer, NSEF Executive Director.  "We are very thankful for Minister Jennex and her staff at the Department of Education for recognizing the importance of providing learning opportunities outside the walls of a student's school", she added. Students wishing to enrol in this program may do so by choosing the grade ten elective prior to September and then contacting the NSEF.
